The CD ...
In Good Hands……….I really love the
title of this adventure! It brings so
many pictures to mind…..
We recorded the album over the winter
months of 2005 when snow and ice
were the norm and a hot toddy was a
blessing to hold. All the basic tracks
were recorded together with solo and
vocals being dubbed in. We used
state of the art digital recording gear
that at first I was very skeptical of.
Having recorded all of Terry Evans’
CDs straight to tape (16 track or 2
track) along with all my previous works
including “Play Watch Feel”, it was
tough to watch the music getting
turned into squiggly lines. Turns out
this is some really cool techno stuff!
No more piles of tape on the floor
when you splice parts.
We all participated in song writing and
arranging. It was a group decision
what to use and what not to use,
therefore it’s not just a guitar album.
There are also Sax, Organ, Piano, and
Harp solos that truly dance around the
guitar … which I love. Shoring it up is
a fat foundation that really holds it all
together.
